The Import Tool Training Course

This Import Tool Training Course is developed by Axiell using our Art Catalogue training system. In order to take this course, it will be necessary to make some minor changes to your training environment. First, however, note point 1:

1. It is critical that you DO NOT use this training course on your Live / Production environment. Please only use this course in a training environment separate from your organisation's Live / Production environment.

   You will be importing records and editing records in the database and you do not want these training records added to your Live / Production environment.

   If you are unclear about what this means, speak to your System Administrator or contact Axiell Support.

   Note: Do not use this course on your Live / Production environment.

2. As this course was designed to be used with our Art Catalogue training system, it is possible that one or more of the fields used in exercises are not included in your system. If this is the case, select an alternative field.
3. In your training environment, create the following Parties records using only the details provided:
   • Last Name: Train1
   • Last Name: Train15
   • Last Name: Train16
   • Last Name: Train17
   • Last Name: Train18
   • Last Name: Train19
   • First Name: Joseph Last Name: Barnes
   • First Name: Graham Last Name: Duffy
   • First Name: John Last Name: Forbes
   • First Name: Sally Last Name: Barnes
   • First Name: Kathie Last Name: Reed
   • First Name: June Last Name: Brown
   • First Name: Henry Last Name: Noremark
4. In Exercise 6 use any graphic. Either place it in C:\Images or be sure to specify the correct location in your Import Data file.
5. In Exercise 9 select objects in your Catalogue to attach to and substitute their Accession Number for the numbers used in the exercise.
6. In Exercise 10 substitute the Accession Number for an object in your Catalogue module.
